02. Whispering Springs Wilderness Retreat
Whispering Springs is located in Grafton, Ontario. It’s only 90 min from Toronto but it feels more remote if you take into account how in the middle of nature you are. The forest Chapel that they provide, is just stunning.
They also provide a “lodge-inspired Reception Pavilion and The Watering Hole Guest Lounge & Bar” and “glamping accommodations in [their] romantic and luxurious log-framed safari tents and charming bell tents”
So if your idea of a wedding is a laid-back place, surrounded by beauty with its own forest and spring-fed ponds, this might be ideal for you. It’s unique in its aesthetics so you probably won’t need that much deco.
03. THE MEADOWS
Located in east Toronto, 10 minutes north of Belleville and close to Prince Edward County. This venue is a dream come true. If you are planning to have an intimate ceremony, their forest is as magical as it looks. If you are having a larger wedding, they also have a pavilion.
With up to 150 guests capacities and family-owned, this venue will take care of each aspect of your wedding.

04. Brantview Apples and Cider
This farm is located just outside of Cambridge. It’s a dream come true if you are looking to have a rustic barn wedding that's why I included in my list of Ontario outdoors wedding venues. The capacity is for 140 guests, and weddings can be booked from May until September. They had an extensive garden where you can celebrate your ceremony and the barn pavilion “was built from reclaimed 200-year-old hand-hewn barn beams”. It's run by a family and they will encourage you to book a tour visit. More bonus if you like cider as they make their own.
05. 100-acre wood
They are located just outside of Picton, Prince Edward County. This 105 Acres of land offers a peaceful and beautiful place for your wedding. They offer all-inclusive services. For them, the meals they provide are high-quality food as they grow in their garden or are used from local gardens. As they said on their own website “We might even wager that you'll experience one of the best meals you've had in a while.” The owners are Mary and Kevin. They would be so excited to be your wedding hosts.
06. Ravine Vineyard Estate Winery
This astounding venue is located in St. Davids, Ontario. They are open all year round and their capacity is up to 300 guests, but if you are having a small wedding they also can provide other spaces such as the barrel cellar to host about 60 guests. The property is 34 acres of vineyards.
Their main space, the ravine event centre, is a 2,000-square-foot wraparound terrace! Can you imagine seeing the sunset while having dinner at your wedding?
This is for sure a captivating venue if you are looking to be close in contact with nature but at the same time having a high-tech venue.
07. Century Barn
Century barn is also an amazing outdoor wedding with a rustic style. It’s located in Cavan, a town close to Peterborough. The space can host up to 140 guests. They provide a garden for your ceremony and the century barn to host your reception. Once you book it, all the space in there would be exclusively yours. Also, they provide all-inclusive packages to make your day run stress-free. It’s run by the seven generations of the Stewart family. This surely is a venue with a lot of charm, beauty, and surrounded by nature to celebrate your wedding.
08. Heritage Estate Winery & Events
Heritage Estate Winey is located in Barrie. If you come from Downtown Toronto, it will be only an hour by car. This 40-acre vineyard is everything you want to have for your wedding. Their vineyards combine with the grandeur of glass-enclosed tents. Their capacity is up to 300 guests. They also produce their own wine and cider.
09. The barn 1906
The barn 1906 is located in Guilford, Ontario. It’s accessible and close if you come from any part of Toronto or even closer coming from Barrie and surrounding area. What makes this venue special is the rustic aesthetic, the history of their century barn, and the family who runs it. They would make your wedding the best experience. The Barn 1906 consists of 104-acres and it can host up to 200 guests. If you book your wedding with them, a 1.5 hour rehearsal is complimentary on the week prior to your wedding date.
10. Northridge Inn & Resort
If you would like to do your wedding as a fun weekend experience this is the perfect venue for you. As they wrote in their website: “For your wedding, the resort transforms into a family cottage that allows your closest friends and family to feel like they are on a vacation of their very own… Making this the best destination wedding ever!” They are located in Northern Muskoka and the beach and the waterfront make this truly a place to experience.
